Fueled by the vision of its owner, Nike co-founder and Chairman Philip H. Knight, LAIKA is an animation studio specializing in feature films, commercials, music videos, broadcast graphics and short films.
All this is taking place in Portland, Oregon, a city known for its quality of life, a 5,000-acre park within city limits, the world’s largest independent bookstore and microbreweries, restaurants, and coffee shops on every corner.

Coraline is the first stop-motion feature to be conceived and photographed in stereoscopic 3D. Written and directed by Henry Selick, Coraline is based on the novel by Neil Gaiman. The movie includes the voices of Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, Ian McShane and John Hodgman.
LAIKA/house is a dynamic community of filmmakers, designers and animators building on a legacy of 30 years of animation history. Many of LAIKA/house\'s artists earned recognition for their mastery on iconic Claymation projects, long-running CG campaigns, as well as two TV series: The PJs and Gary & Mike.
